SEND WONDER drop off location: Coquiltlam
20110802
This was dropped in a city near Vancouver at a random parking lot. Whenever fellow magicians visit from out of town, I try to take them out for a little street art. Joining me for this was Jason Bumbalow, Eric Jones, and Peter McKinnon~ all awesome guys. I think that's one of the greatest gifts I've ever been given; the ability (and honour) to call so many different people - from different countries, cities, companies - my friends. And I think that's truly what Send Wonder is all about. That moment in time when nothing else matters but the art, and all of our desire to bring happiness to people we've never met.
Did you find this bottle? If so, leave a comment! I'd love to hear your story...

Final Week: Sidewalk Chalk
20110626
I can't believe it's over already. You know, when you start out with a project like this, you only ask yourself, "What if no one shows up." and by the end you can only think, "I wish it could last forever." Being a part of someone's life, if only for a moment, is what art is all about and it's been an honour to take part in fifty-two separate lives. I hope the pictures of the people and the quotes they've provided bring you into our world, not just for a moment, but for years to come. We all did it. Together.

Week #3: Never doubt a small group...

If you're just joining us, let me take a quick moment and fill you in! You probably know that my name is Jamie D. Grant and that I've created the "Anything Is Possible" bottle. And maybe you've heard about my Send Wonder campaign, where I leave bottles around the world for people to find.
Well, you've just come across my public version of that, which I do every summer- meaning that I actually tell people where the bottles are located. And this year, I'm giving away 13 Limited Edition AIP bottles every Sunday in June (today was week #3 of 4). As with the other weeks, people follow my Twitter or Facebook and find me walking around. If they tell me, "Anything Is Possible", voila! they get a bottle. All I ask in return is they give me their first name and a quote: the thought in their head, a favourite saying, anything at all. Without further ado, here' s today's results...

The Second 13: Eat-Smile-Love-Laugh-Chillax

Well, today was the second Sunday of this year's public "Send Wonder Campaign" ~ Month of Sundays. And what a day it was- incredible! What's always amazing, to me, is the range of people that come out and take part in public art. When you look at their faces, and read their random quotes (that they were asked to provide when they claimed a bottle), it's hard not to sit back and wonder who these people are; who've they loved, who've they lost and, most simply, who they are at this particular moment in time... I hope this provides some insight. At any rate, they're beautiful people~ each and every one.
It was a beach day. That means a yellow hoodie~ fun! Not the most "street arty" but what can you do?

As I started walking along the beach path, there was an old message board. Tagged!

The ocean, spray glue, yellow hoodie, great friends, celebrity photographers, actual tears, cancer, hope, wonder, lego, tired feet, "I'm too sexy for my ladder", recovery, 2nd chances. The perfect Sunday.
I hope to see you out next week!
